Reddit Taps Ethereum Community for Scaling Solutions to scale tokens for Its 430M Users
Reddit is planning on scaling its Ethereum-powered Community Points System. The popular social media content platform is seeking the help of the Ethereum community for this purpose asking the community to provide various scaling solutions to help it out scale tokens for its all of the 430 million users.
Reddit partners with Ethereum Foundation
Recently, Reddit has formed a partnership with the Ethereum Foundation to find out different scaling solutions. The company is in search of the best scaling solution therefore it is asking developers to submit their scaling solutions to the company.
The firm basically wants to bring the Community Points to mainnet by using the scaling solution. Announcing the news on June 19, 2020, the firm said:
In conjunction with the Ethereum Foundation, Reddit is inviting Ethereum scaling projects to show the community how your scaling solution can be used to bring Community Points to mainnet. Our goal is to find a solution that will support hundreds of thousands of Community Points users on mainnet today, and can eventually scale to all of Reddit.
Scaling experts need to submit their scaling demos
In the announcement blog post, Reddit has given the deadline of July 31 for the submission of scaling proposal or demos. All of the scaling experts from the Ethereum community are openly invited to present their scaling demos. More specifically, scaling experts are required to submit their demos in the comment section below the announcement post.
The firm has also requested the scaling experts to review the scaling demos of other community members and provide their commentary on them. This will help the firm to know which scaling solution should be considered. The company also specified that demos should stimulate community point usage for 100K users.
